Reindeer farm visit
On the farm visit you go into the enclosure with the reindeer. Eero shows you how to feed them and tells you what reindeer eat in each season and why they dig for lichen under the snow.
The visit ends by the fire in the kota. Over campfire coffee Eero tells you about the herding year: calving, summer grazing, the autumn round-ups and winter feeding.
What to wear
Dress for the weather. In winter you need warm boots and layers, as you are outdoors in the enclosure. In summer rubber boots are a good choice.
Price and booking
The visit costs €69 per adult and is booked in the Johku Resort online shop. The resort sends your confirmation, directions and a reminder before the visit.
